Idaho is home to numerous natural wonders. While many of these are quite well-known, like Shoshone Falls and Balanced Rock,
there are others that are tucked away and lesser known. Devil’s
Washbowl is one of the lesser-known natural wonders in Idaho that is
absolutely spectacular. Found in Malad Gorge State Park, this incredible
waterfall is one natural wonder that you’ll want to view at least once.
Thousand Springs State Park is
one of the most unique and beautiful state parks in Idaho. It consists
of six smaller units, one of which is Malad Gorge State Park.
In this 451-acre state park,
you’ll capture incredible views of the 250-foot Malad Gorge. The Snake
River winds through the gorge, creating a mesmerizing view.
However, what many people don’t
know is that Malad Gorge is home to one of the most beautiful natural
wonders in Idaho - the Devil’s Washbowl.
This is a 60-foot waterfall tucked away in the gorge. It is where the Malad River falls into a large pool.
While this waterfall is
beautiful all year long, spring is the best time for viewing it as water
roars out of the gorge, creating quite a remarkable sight.
To best view this incredible
wonder, there is a 175-foot bridge that takes you over the Malad Gorge.
From one side, you can see the waterfall, and on the other, you can
capture incredible views of Malad Gorge.
Even better, you don’t have to go
out of your way to stop at this state park and view the Devil’s
Washbowl. This state park is actually located right along (and under!)
I-84 on your way to Twin Falls. In fact, the bridge is so close to the
freeway that you may need to crop unwanted vehicles out of your images.
After you have captured
remarkable views of the Devil’s Washbowl, spend some time hiking and
picnicking at this state park. Malad Gorge State Park may not be large,
but it certainly has gems worth discovering.
Have you spent time at Malad Gorge State Park? Have you viewed the
Devil’s Washbowl? We’d love to hear about your experiences in the
comments. You can learn even more about this state park on the Idaho Parks and Recreation website.
If you have never explored Thousand Springs State Park, add this
Idaho destination to your bucket list. This is truly one of the best and
most beautiful state parks in Idaho.

This may come as a surprise, but there aren't too many mainstream songs out there written about our beautiful state. Apparently, everyone's exes live in Texas or something like that... Not that we mind! The fewer people who know about our slice of paradise, the better, right? Regardless, when a good song about Idaho comes on the radio or personal playlist, we can't help but wax a little nostalgic. Today, we've been able to dig up 15 tunes that capture the spirit of Idaho in their own unique way. Have a listen! 1. "Idaho" - Reckless Kelly (2013) "Because he's an Idaho cowboy/no Tennessee plow-boy / He's wild as the Rockies he rides." This popular alternative country group made every heart melt with this song. It sure does capture the spirit of the mountain-loving Idahoan, doesn't it? 2. "Idaho" - Feeder (2012) "I may find a better view, find a better... view / Idaho." Feeder is a British (Welsh) rock band that has bee...
Casa Loma (Spanish for "Hill House") is a Gothic Revival castle-style mansion and garden in midtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, that is now a historic house museum and landmark. It was constructed from 1911 to 1914 as a residence for financier Sir Henry Pellatt. The architect was E. J. Lennox, who designed several other city landmarks. Casa Loma sits at an elevation of 140 meters (460 ft) above sea level, 66 meters (217 ft) above Lake Ontario. Due to its unique architectural character in Toronto, Casa Loma has been a popular filming location for movies and television. It is also a popular venue for wedding ceremonies, and Casa Loma can be rented in the evenings after the museum closes to the public. History In 1903, financier Henry Pellatt purchased 25 lots from developers Kertland and Rolf. Pellatt commissioned architect E. J. Lennox to design Casa Loma, with construction beginning in 1911, starting with the massive stables, potting shed, and Hunting Lodge (a.k.a...
