Don’t be fooled. This exotic petting zoo is unlike any zoo you’ve
been to before. Here you can get up close and personal to some amazing
animals that aren’t native to the Gem State. This is a truly interactive
experience that both children and adults will remember for years to
come. If you’re looking for a unique way to spend the day, make your way
to Caldwell’s Babby Farms. Take a look.
Hiding in Caldwell is a little known exotic petting zoo called Babby Farms. You'll find it at 5900 El Paso Rd Caldwell, Idaho.
Here you can interact with some
of your favorite animals. The farm is a lot different from a zoo because
here you can really get up close and actually interact with many
amazing species.
Babby Farms was created out of a
desire to help both children and adults with disabilities interact with
a wide range of animals. Studies show that people can benefit from
hands-on interaction with animals, and many hospitals have programs that
revolve around places like this.
To help the cause, Babby Farms
is open to everyone Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Stop
by the farm and touch, pet, and feed many of the adorable animals that
can be found here.
Admission to the farm is $8 for
children, $10.50 for adults, and free for children 3 years and younger.
They also run discounts for military and law enforcement every day,
along with discounts for everyone on Thursdays.
An exotic petting zoo is one of
the last things you would expect to find along a remote country road in
Caldwell. It just goes to show that Idaho is full of surprises!
The range of animals here is
truly amazing. The farm is home to your typical barnyard type of animals
such as ponies, goats, and sheep. However, it's also home to
not-so-common animals such as zebras, camels, lemurs, and monkeys.
Babby Farms is an excellent
place to celebrate your next birthday, family reunion, or any other
event you can think of. If you come on your birthday, you'll even get a
free bag of food to feed the animals. Their shady picnic area is the
perfect place to relax and hang out for a few hours.
