The Candy Jar has become one of
the sweetest must-visit destinations in Blackfoot. It opened in 2019 in a
historic building in Old Town Blackfoot and quickly gained the love of
all the locals. You’ll find this candy shop right across the street from
the famous Potato Museum.
When you walk inside, your inner
child will immediately be released. You’ll see shelves filled with all
types of sweets that will quickly excite your taste buds.
This candy store in Idaho is
unique because rather than selling shelves and shelves of random goods,
it sells locally-produced, handmade products all from Idaho companies.
You’ll find items like hand-dipped chocolates and handmade caramels …
… to gourmet popcorn in a variety of flavors.
There are also tasty treats like suckers, gummies, and caramel apples.
No matter what item you step
inside to purchase, you won’t want to leave without a piece of fudge.
The Candy Jar is well known for its handmade fudge that is made on-site
and absolutely delicious.
The fudge is prepared daily, and
the process is certainly time-consuming. The fudge sold at the Candy Jar
takes 5.5 hours to make and then sits for at least 12 hours. Just be
prepared to make a decision, as there is an assortment of flavors to
choose from and it can be hard to narrow down your options.
