brewery opens up every other week; not that we’re complaining! In fact,
our state has quickly become a beer aficionado’s paradise. One of
Idaho’s most recent additions is the neighborhood brewhouse featured

A brand spankin' new brewery
opened up just a few months ago in the scenic North Idaho town of
Sandpoint. Matchwood Brewing Company boasts a cozy vibe, good company,
and some downright delicious craft beer.
Matchwood is a neighborhood
brewhouse that came as a result of years of hard work by the owners. It
took a long time for this major Granary District building to be
effectively transformed into a brewery and restaurant, but it sure was
worth the wait.
The brewhouse was created with
the community in mind. This isn't simply a place to grab a quick drink.
It's a place for the neighborhood to come together. The brewery's
design, complete with stages and a play area for kids, reflects that.
Even the bar-top, made of
130-year-old Western White Pine, was designed as an ode to the
surrounding region. Here you can enjoy a diverse array of English and
American ales, perfectly handcrafted in-house by the owners themselves.
Along with the delicious craft
brews, the brewhouse also offers up a menu of classic comfort food
items. Be sure to try their signature dish: the pasty. This homemade hand-pie can be filled with a variety of ingredients, but is
traditionally stuffed with steak, potato, and onion.
Other classic handheld items
include burgers, sandwiches, and even homemade pretzels. This place
definitely gives "bar food" a new meaning!
Upon visiting this rustic
brewhouse, you'll soon discover that this isn't just one of many new
craft beer spots in Idaho. It's a gathering place for friends, family,
and neighbors. Be sure to join them soon!
You'll find Matchwood Brewing Company at 513 Oak St, Sandpoint, ID 83864. They are open from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm 7 days a week.

This may come as a surprise, but there aren't too many mainstream songs out there written about our beautiful state. Apparently, everyone's exes live in Texas or something like that... Not that we mind! The fewer people who know about our slice of paradise, the better, right? Regardless, when a good song about Idaho comes on the radio or personal playlist, we can't help but wax a little nostalgic. Today, we've been able to dig up 15 tunes that capture the spirit of Idaho in their own unique way. Have a listen! 1. "Idaho" - Reckless Kelly (2013) "Because he's an Idaho cowboy/no Tennessee plow-boy / He's wild as the Rockies he rides." This popular alternative country group made every heart melt with this song. It sure does capture the spirit of the mountain-loving Idahoan, doesn't it? 2. "Idaho" - Feeder (2012) "I may find a better view, find a better... view / Idaho." Casa Loma (Spanish for "Hill House") is a Gothic Revival castle-style mansion and garden in midtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, that is now a historic house museum and landmark. It was constructed from 1911 to 1914 as a residence for financier Sir Henry Pellatt. The architect was E. J. Lennox, who designed several other city landmarks. Casa Loma sits at an elevation of 140 meters (460 ft) above sea level, 66 meters (217 ft) above Lake Ontario. Due to its unique architectural character in Toronto, Casa Loma has been a popular filming location for movies and television. It is also a popular venue for wedding ceremonies, and Casa Loma can be rented in the evenings after the museum closes to the public. History In 1903, financier Henry Pellatt purchased 25 lots from developers Kertland and Rolf. Pellatt commissioned architect E. J. Lennox to design Casa Loma, with construction beginning in 1911, starting with the massive stables, potting shed, and Hunting Lodge (a.k.a...
