9 Undeniable Habits That No Idahoan Can Ever Unlearn
You can take the Idahoan out of the state but you can’t take the state out of the Idahoan. That is one statement that most people who were born and raised in the Gem State will agree with. We enjoy doing things a certain way here in Idaho. These habits are so ingrained in us that we find them pretty difficult to unlearn. How many of these nine undeniable habits have you caught yourself doing?

Idahoans are prepared for any
circumstance and any change of weather. You sure as heck won't find a
true Idahoan under-dressed in the winter and vice versa for summer.
We're not too concerned with the latest fashion trends, but we are
concerned with dressing comfortably.

Here in Idaho, we're friendly to
our neighbors. We wave and greet strangers as we pass them on the
street, even if that means just giving someone a quick head nod in their
direction. Oh, and we say "please" and "thank you", too.

Every Idahoan knows that
huckleberries are like pure gold during summer when they pop up in
bushes all over the mountains. These delicious berries are a highly
anticipated once-a-year delicacy. We just can't help ourselves from
keeping an eye out for these heavenly berries when we're out on a hike.

Alright, maybe Idahoans are a little bit too trusting, but who can blame us? One of our cities was just named the safest in the world. Locking up may be a requirement in some cities, but it's optional here in Idaho.

Is there any better combination? I
think not. Meat and potatoes are the two things Idaho does best and
we'll never tire of eating them.

If Idaho could have an official
state beverage, this might just be it. Admit it. Every Idahoan has their
favorite flavor of Mountain Dew. Baja Blast is a personal favorite, but
nothing beats the original.

Idahoans may be friendly, but we
are also very protective of our territory. Idaho is growing more than
ever right now. In fact, it was just named the fastest growing state in the country. Our only request of newcomers is to keep our lovely state the way it is.

We're the type of people that don't
mind a little dirt. In fact, everything is better with some dirt on it!
If you admittedly have a dirty truck or muddy pair of boots right now
that just means you were out creating some amazing Idaho memories.

Idaho doesn't have any official
sports teams, so we focus all of our energy on our college sports.
Whether you call yourself a Broncos fan or a Vandals fan, the love for
your team will never die out and you often find yourself defending Idaho
sports to non-Idahoans.
