Idaho is a surprisingly great place to be if you’re a
taco lover. It turns out that our state is home to a countless number of
taquerias that serve up authentic Mexican cuisine and they’re just
waiting to be discovered. There’s one beloved little taco shop in our
state that is a must if you’re the type of person that likes choices.
Boasting a dozen different types of tacos, this place definitely knows
what they’re doing when it comes to serving up delicious and authentic
eats. For a taste of some of the best tacos in Idaho, a visit here is
absolutely a must.
There's certainly no shortage of
good tacos here in Idaho, but if you'd like a taste of some of the best
then you'll want to head straight to Taqueria El Torito in Boise.
El Torito has been serving the
Treasure Valley of southern Idaho since 2002, so it's safe to say they
know what they're doing when it comes to tacos! They describe themselves
as "No frills, just good food", and that's exactly what you'll get when
you visit.
So why exactly are these tacos
so renowned? It's simple. They are made with fresh, simple
ingredients—just as they should be. But don't let the simplicity of a
good taco fool you.
The best thing about tacos is
that each and every bite is comprised of the perfect combination of
flavors. And at El Torito, there are a lot of flavors to choose from! In
fact, you'll have your choice between a dozen different types of meat,
and you may just find that you're tempted to try them all.
Of course, they have everybody's
favorite taco toppings, such as Carne Asada, Pollo, Carnitas, and Al
Pastor. However, they also boast a few variations that are harder to
come by, such as Buche (pork stomach), Lengua (beef tongue), and Cabeza
(beef cheek.)
Topped with the usual
combination of onions, cilantro, and hot sauce, it doesn't get much
better than this! And with prices ranging from just $1.50 to $3 per
taco, your wallet won't hate you for ordering an entire plate of these
bad boys.
Additionally, El Torito serves
up a variety of authentic entrees including tortas, tamales, chiles
