There’s A Small Town In Idaho Known For Its Truly Epic Burgers


Have you heard of Notus, Idaho before? Don’t worry if you haven’t. This tiny town is home to just 530 people and is located in southwestern Idaho. It looks like a pretty typical small Idaho town with nothing more than a post office, school, library, fire department, etc. However, it does contain one restaurant that is bringing a lot of attention to this small community for their epic burgers. The Garage Cafe is a unique place to eat for many reasons. It’s easy to see why people travel long and far just to sit down for a meal at this quaint diner.

Considered the smallest town in Canyon County, Notus can be found approximately 5 miles from Caldwell.
This quiet rural town is surrounded by seemingly endless country landscapes. Located right off the highway is a restaurant that is bringing attention to this small community for their mouthwatering burgers.
The Garage Cafe is true to its name. This quaint diner is located in what once was a functional garage. The unique atmosphere is all part of this diner's amazing charm.
You'll find this awesome restaurant at 228 Elgin St, Notus, ID 83656. They are open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm every day.
Since it opened in 2010, The Garage Cafe has become somewhat of a destination restaurant. It's a popular place for both locals and travelers just passing through.
They've incorporated the garage atmosphere into all aspects of their theme. Lining the walls are various forms of car memorabilia. The restaurant's fun style entices you in, but it's the food that keeps customers coming back for more.
The diner is known for their massive portions. Customers are known to split dishes between two people. Their extensive menu is full of classic, homestyle food made from scratch.
They are also famous for their truly epic "Hemi Challenge". You'll definitely want to bring your appetite for this.
The challenge is a two pound burger on an 8-inch bun, served with a pound of fries and a milkshake. Only four people have conquered this insane challenge!
On top of their burgers, the diner serves a variety of classic dishes.
Their country fried steak is another popular option. This fresh breaded steak is smothered in homemade country gravy and served with two eggs and hashbrowns. It's the definition of decadence.
